Cakes at Albertson's start at like $30 and that's like a half a week's worth of gas, so I am just going to surprise Jack with his birthday cake (like a week late!!) when he gets home tonight! Here's my sad attempt. One icing was frozen and one was melted, so I did the best I could! Don't judge me, just laugh!

It's so cute!!! Joey's birthday is Sunday as you know and I have to bake one today so wish me luck. It's funny--the ones I bake just out of the blue turn out great but sure as I'm baking one for someone special or a special occasion - it seems to flop!!! What is it with my cooking!?!? Oh well, I'm going to give it a shot! I know yours tasted great! Love you! I'll have to email you the pictures from last night--the dinner was so fun with Joey's parents, your grandmother and grandaddy and us at Cracker Barrel. Daddy and Joey LOVED their turnip greens and cornbread! They're so funny!!!!
I think it looks great!
Erika, your cake is fabulous. One of the joys of being married to someone who loves you is that they are so happy when you show them you love them back! Baking a cake does this! As we've always heard a million times, it's the little things that matter. It's SO TRUE! Your cake is awesome!
Speaking of cakes... did your mom tell you we found one left at the Woods' office in a tuperware under the desk?! First it reminded me of you and made me smile. Then I realized it was 3 months old and got grossed out. And can you believe it? No mold!!
I'll just bet your husband was over the moon when he saw a cake made for him with the most important ingredient being Love!
Husbands love our attempts at making them feel special. Great Job!
I think it looks yummy!
