For Grandaddy

When I was a little girl, I was obsessed with Disney's Peter Pan. I could have watched it every day! We had a "Sing-Along" tape with the song "Never Smile at a Crocodile" and my Grandaddy would let me and Ethan watch it over and over! Now Leighton loves that video and watches it over and over and laughs. It made me so happy that I have memories of watching that with Grandaddy, so I tell her about it while she's watching it! She's so much fun, and she can't wait to meet her Grandmother and Grandaddy next week!!

I barely have time to shower these days! We're both working full-time and when I'm home I just like to relax and play with Leighton! So I'm going to keep blogging about our family whenever I have time, but I also have a blog where I put a new picture of Leighton every day. You are already such a wonderful dad to Leighton! You are a great example for me every day because you always have a kind attitude, even when we are exhausted! This Week

Leighton loves watching Jack's basketball games! She's so much more alert now and aware of what is going on around her!

And this seems to be her favorite position to nap lately!

I think she's looking more like her Daddy!

Leighton was so funny tonight! She kept trying to eat my fingers and when I'd pull my hand back, she'd smile... then quickly realize I'd fooled her. Her looks are changing so much, I have to take pictures every day! She's gotta be the cutest girl ever, Jack and I are so lucky to be her parents! I'll try to post more pictures soon, she's pretty time consuming these days! I don't ever want to go back to work, I just love spending my days with Baby Leighton!

The day before I was induced, we were able to get some maternity photos taken. They turned out really well and we're so grateful we could get them done on short notice, since I was induced early. We had a lot of fun and I can't wait to put them in Leighton's baby book!

Welcome Home, Leighton!

We are so glad to have our little angel home! She's doing so well today and we're so happy she's healthy! We're having a hard time sharing her, she is just the cutest thing ever!!!

Quick Update on Little L :)

Leighton is doing great, we're just trying to get her eating more before she comes home. The pediatrician said she is looking much better, her oxygen is staying high and they've taken her off of the IV's that she was relying on for food. Hopefully, we'll be able to bring her home this weekend. Thank you for all the congratulations and prayers! We love and appreciate all of y'all!
